Life is Moving Along

Things are moving along at an amazing pace.  It's really crazy how fast this pregnancy is moving.  Which is a good and a bad thing, I guess.  I'm ready to be done with pregnancy.  It's not enjoyable at all.  But on the other hand there is A LOT to be done before baby boy arrives.  (side note:  still can't believe we are having a boy . . . I'm not sure I know what to do with a boy?).  We did get Maggie's new room done last week and her moved in this weekend.  It's going ok.  She has done pretty well at night, but naps are a mess.  Of course she has never been a good napper.  Hopefully we'll figure it out.  Had my 25 week appt on Monday and I am measuring about 27 weeks.  I shouldn't be surprised but I'm afraid I'm going to have a huge baby.  Maggie was 8 lbs 8 oz and 22.5 inches long and she was 10 days early.  She could easily have been 10 lbs if she had gone to full term.    On a side note, Maggie is currently 35 lbs and 35 inches tall.   Mark and I have decided she will probably be 6 feet tall, or close too.  And as of last week, I am not suppose to lift her anymore.   I have been having some significant back and abdomen pain and the doctor thinks lifting Maggie probably  isn't helping.  So I am doing everything I can to not lift her.  Wow is that hard.  She is still a very needy.   Well  I should probably go be productive for the day.  I'll post pictures once I get them uploaded!!

It's a boy!

I'm a little delayed in getting this posted.  Monday, Jan 21, Mark and I had our 20 week Ultrasound.  I will admit I was really nervous.  I have been feeling fine and feeling the baby move a lot but you just never know.    We had already decided to get the babies gender put in an envelope and Erin (Brian's girlfriend) was going to make a gender reveal cake.  The ultrasound was amazing.  I had forgotten what is was like to see that little baby moving around on the screen.  Wiggling and moving.  Such a blessing from God. Baby is health and big :) He is also moving around a ton.  I am actually measuring about a week bigger than I should be.    Not a big deal.  Either my dates are off or baby is just growing like only a Clover/Bronink baby can.  Basically that means baby might come a little earlier or if I get to uncomfortable at the end of the pregnancy they might be willing to take him a week or so earlier.

We are in full redecorating mode for Maggie's new room.  We bought furniture off Craig list a few weeks ago and a really cute bedding set.  I want to paint one wall in her "new" room an accent color but I have to decide which one.  For those wondering, her "new" room is our "old" office.   When we get everything done I will post pictures.  I have lots of idea's but we'll see if any/all them them come to fruition.  We don't need to do much to the nursery because it's very gender neutral.  That is nice.

I'll have to upload pictures later.  I am on the old laptop and all the pictures are on the new one.  We got a new laptop for Christmas.  I like it for the most part.  The biggest downfall is it has Windows 8.  Totally new platform from what Mark or I are used too.  But we are getting there.

Maggie's tooth

It's been any interesting week here at the Clover's.  Tuesday night Maggie was taking her bath like always and all of the sudden I heard a huge crash.  I was in her room putting clothes away and Mark was actually giving her a bath.  Isn't he great :)  Anyway,  I asked if she was OK and he said yes.  About 30 seconds later I hear "Rachel  . . .  there's blood"  Anyone who knows Mark knows he doesn't do blood.  So I rush in there.  She had blood all the way down her body.  I got her out and calmed her down.  When I got her mouth open I realize a huge chunk of her tooth was gone.  Then I freaked out.  Mark called the pediatrician.  They were great at asking the right questions and calming us down.  We gave her some Tylenol and she slept until 8:30 that next morning.

On Wednesday AM we headed to Dr. Snyder's office to have a look.  They were awesome.  It was definitely more traumatic for me than Maggie.  She opened her mouth . . .  pretty well.   She wasn't too happy when Dr. Scott tried to grind part of the tooth down, but once he gave her the prize crest she forgot she was mad at him. :)

She is fine now.  I was slightly worried how she would react to bath time tonight, but she crawled right in like nothing had happened

Below is the best picture I can get.  Trying to get a 20 month old to sit still and smile for a picture is almost impossible

Christmas is upon us

Christmas is upon us.  And we are in full Christmas party swing.  We had the Bronsink party on Friday night, the Clover extended party yesterday morning, the Katerberg party today, and the Clover party on Tuesday morning.  Somewhere in there we have to open our presents too.  I'm thinking that will be Monday night.  My in-laws are staying with us for the weekend, which is fun.  Maggie loves to have Grandma and Grandpa around.   She is the center of attention.

We are finally feeling pretty good.  A little bit of a cold but the nausea seems to be getting a lot better.  I was 17 wks on Friday.  We have our ultrasound on January 21.  I am excited to get a look at this little bugger.  Maggie is still trying to figure all this out.  We've been trying to explain to her that there is a baby in Mommy's belly, but she just looks at her baby when we say that.

Mark is off work until the day after New Years.  We are very excited to have him home for awhile.  We have lots of ongoing projects to get  done. and some time to  relax will be nice too.  Of course, Maggie loves having daddy around 24 hrs a day.

A few pictures below.  My 17 week picture and Maggie with her new dolly for Christmas.  It came with a pacifier, which I think  is Maggie favorite part.

Just an update

So it's been awhile since I have updated.  Life has been busy and we have been really sick.  Sickness partially due to the fact that we are expecting another baby!!  We are really excited and I have not been nearly as sick as I was with Maggie.  Which has been a huge blessing.  Maggie and I caught a horrible cold the end of September and it took us the whole month of October to get over it.  Not fun. My official due date is June 1, but I am measuring a little ahead of that so we'll see what that means.
Not much else going on.  We are ready for the holidays.  We put up our tree yesterday.  A little early but we were in the spirit.

Fall is upon us!

Life seems to be maintaining it's normal crazy beat at the Clover household.  Maggie just turned 16 months and is into absolutely everything. She running and running and running.  She does stop to look at a book now and then.  She is in love with the outdoors and her daddy. When the door opens at 6 pm she runs full blast to the door to see Mark.  In fact, if Daddy is around mommy pretty much doesn't exists.  She is a daddy's girl thru and thru.

We had a fun month of August with a trip the fair and camping at Ludington just to name a few.  Maggie loved camping.  Big Surprise.  By the time we got home I was ready to scream.  She was so dirty but she was so happy.

Fall seems to be upon on as well.  The temperature today is in the 50's.  I'm ready for some pumpkins and cider.  This is definitely my favorite time of year.   And fall also means Artprize.  I completely fell in love last year and can't wait to go back.

Maggie and Mark on her 1st hiking adventure.

Two of my favorite little people at the fair.  Notice how they are almost the same size . . . Amanuel will be 4 in January.Artprize

An update on life

So I realized it's been awhile since I posted anything.  Summer has been busy and so much fun.  We have spent some time in Traverse City and at the beach.  Maggie loves to be the outside.  And loves to be busy.  I say "she is busy being busy."   She just goes and goes.  She is so energetic.  Sometime much to Mommy's distress.  She was 15 months the beginning of August.  So hard to believe.  At her well care checkup on Monday she was 32 lbs and 34 inches tall.

I was in Texas last week at the MOPS convention.  For those who don't now . . . MOPS stands for Mother's of Preschoolers.   It was great to network with other mom's and get to spend some time away.  I went with 3 girls from church.  We had such a good time.

In two weeks it's time for Ludington.  I can't really believe it's the end of August already.  Maggie did a great job camping in June, hoping this goes as well.
