Meal Planning

My goal for the week was to work on meal planning. I was kind of inspired by a a girl from church's blog. I've never really had the time to do it before so I figure now is the time to start a new habit . . . plus it makes getting groceries a whole lot easier. I really like this website for recipes. Lots of variety. The best is you can input the ingredients you have it will give tell you different recipe options. Love it. The 2 favorites of the week were Unbelievably Awesome Barbecue Chicken Pizza & Ham and Pineapple Kabobs. Mark really liked both which for me is a great accomplishment.

The kabobs with white rice and fresh green beans for one of my favorite stores.

I am looking for a little advice. Mark had a slight issue with the skewers lighting on fire. Any ideas on how to stop that from happening?

  1. If you soak the skewers in water for an hour or so before you use them, they shouldn't catch on fire.

  3. We either soak ours in water first or pack the skewers so full that only a tiny bit is showing on each end - that part chars but doesn't flame up. We've tried the metal ones but they are just a pain to clean so I don't think it's worth it. :)
