Being an Aunt

I've probably written this before or at least said it. I love being an aunt. It is one of the joys of my life. It's been an interesting and amazing experience watching the older 2 (11 and 13) grow up and watching the younger 2 (2 and 4) experience things for the first time. I honestly don't know which I enjoy more. Last week was definitely a week dedicated to being an aunt. On Monday, Mom and I took Alyssa to the Diana exhibit at the GRAM (Grand Rapids Art Museum). It was part of her b-day gift from Mom & Dad. It was really cool to see all the artifacts. My favorite was definitely her wedding dress.

On Saturday, I took Alyssa to for her 1st pedicure and manicure. This was her b-day gift from Mark and I. She spent the night on Friday night and we hung out all day. Geoffrey was have a sledding party with 6 boys, so that was part of the motivation to get her out of the house. She and Mark watched a lot of Myth busters and played WII. She is growing into such a mature young women and I love spending time with her.

Then on Sunday we got to watch Amanuel for a little while. Unfortunately I forgot we had a commitment at church at night so it wasn't for as long as I would have liked, but he is such a sweet little boy anytime is special. I love him more each time I see him. We are very blessed to have him in our life.
