Learning As We Go: Christmas & a Baby

Just a short update. December has been a busy month so there hasn't been much time (or energy) to update. The last 2 weeks especially have been filled with lots of family time. My SIL got engaged last Tuesday so that has added a whole additional layer to the fun. They are planning a June or July wedding. It is exciting to be part of planning another wedding. Especially since it isn't my own!

We are getting really excited about the baby. I was 20 weeks on Sunday and will have our 3rd ultrasound this afternoon. They should be able to tell us the sex, if we want to know. Mark is completely unconcerned about the sex. He has no preference to if we find out the sex or not. (If you know my husband, this fits perfectly with his personality. He is the most laid back person I know). He just wants a healthy baby. Of course, for me it isn't that easy. I have always said I don't want to know the sex, but now that it's a option, it's very tempting. I'm starting to get a little baby bump. I am still about 12 lbs down from my pre-pregnancy weight. Christmas has helped a lot with the weight gain! Total I had lost 23 lbs. I have been eating normally for 3-4 weeks now. I got my PICC removed 2 weeks ago. That was probably about the best Christmas present I could have received.
