Life goes on

The last few days have been really rough . . . I'm not sure if it's because Mother's Day is coming up and it makes me think about our baby or if I'm just having the ups and downs that come with recovery. Today is 5 week since I had surgery. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Sunday. I never would have guessed a year ago where we would be today. Or how much stronger we would be. Things can tear you apart or make you stronger . . . this experience had brought Mark and I to another level.

We are going to Mackinaw Island next week to celebrate our anniversary. We are staying at the Grand Hotel. I've always wanted to stay there, but because it's pretty expensive we never have. They was a deal earlier in the Spring for half off, so we figured we better take advantage of it.
