Minnesota's Prarie Playground

The title is the catch phrase all over Luverne . . and I thought is was kind of fun.

We are on our last night in Minnesota. It has been 3 busy, eventful and fun days.

Mark has seen more corn fields than he thought was possible. I have had the chance to catch up with a whole bunch of family members. We've enjoyed some very good meals . . . including taverns tonight. If you don't know what those are, you can ask my Aunt Betty. We hiked around the Blue Mound State Park, did some shopping at Pamida and over all enjoyed the weekend.

Brenda and Steve's wedding was beautiful. Simple and elegant.

I am sad to leave. I love getting to see all my aunts and uncles and cousins again. I often wonder what those relationships would look like if I hadn't grown up 800 miles away. I remember as I child having a conversation with my mom on a trip to MN and her saying "Don't ever move this far away." The older I get the more I understand why.

I should probably go to sleep. 4 am will come very early and as my people know. I don't do well with the AM.
