It's been a busy weekend after a busy week. And while would probably have enjoyed more sleep, it was great.
Yesterday, we celebrated Grandpa Katerberg's 90th birthday! 90 years. WOW! That is just amazing to me. I'm not sure I want to live that long. I guess it depends. If I can still be healthy, mentally and physically, then yes. Otherwise I'm not so sure. Getting old kind of scares me.
Tonight we had our first Octane meeting. For those who don't know, Octane is Corinth's version of small group for teenagers. This is the first year I have worked with this age group so I was a little scared. Thank goodness I'm working with a very experienced leader. The group we have is phenomenal. I can't think of a better word. That asked great questions and actually care about what we are talking about. I'm really excited about the year!
2 weeks from today we'll be in Minnesota. I have a cousin getting married and I can't wait to go. I haven't been there since college. A lot of my childhood memories have Minnesota in them. We went at least once a year until I was in high school. I'm excited to show Mark around and show him real farm country. He's never been there or met a lot of my extended family. I'm sad that my Gandpa and Grandma Hoogland aren't alive to meet him. What I'm not looking forward too is 800 miles in car. Not sure how my parents did that ever year with 3 small children. Crazy!
