The New Dresser

My new dresser. Oh. I guess I should say "our" new dresser. I LOVE IT. I have never been in love with a piece of furniture but I am with this one. And maybe that is because it was a search to find it.

When Mark was living in Traverse City, he delivered furniture for this company. One of the perks was occasionally people wanted to get rid of furniture and it didn't cost him anything. We ended up with a beautiful king size Cherry bed. Great! The issue being, we didn't have any furniture to match it. So the search was on. We looked at pretty much every furniture store in Grand Rapids to no avail. Who knew Cherry was so hard to match? Every time we found something we liked, it didn't match. Ugg. My sister-in-law Robyn suggested we try out this store in Cedar Springs called "Bear in the Woods". The minute we walked in I was in love. It's an Amish furniture store so not only is everything beautiful, the quality is amazing. We ended up finding 2 pieces that matched the bed exactly. Like they were built together. And bought them immediately. Ahh. Love.
